Cheow Lan Reservoir is a superb place to spot hornbills.
Regular hornbill spottings include Great Hornbills, Bushy-crested
Hornbills, Oriental Pied Hornbills, Southern Pied Hornbills, Wreathed
Hornbills, White-crowned Hornbills and Helmeted Hornbills. The best
time of year to see hornbills is November and December as that's
when a lot of trees, especially fig trees (sp. ficus) are in fruit.
It is not uncommon to see four or more species of hornbills feeding
together, along with other birds, monkeys, gibbons and other animals.
Pigs and deer feed at the bottom of these trees.
